FAQ's

Can I leave the ISS stringer in my board when not in use? +

We recommend not to store ISS stringers locked tight in your board for excessive periods of time, as this puts unneeded strain on the o-ring seal.

Can I leave the ISS stringer in my board during air travel? +

It's especially important not to leave ISS stringers locked in place during air travel. Air trapped in the polymer sleeve can expand and contract at altitude, which can potentially burst the sleeve.

What happens if I don't tighten the ISS stringer correctly? +

Not to worry, any water that enters the stringer cavity during surfing is contained within the polymer sleeve. Simply remove the stringer, clean the cavity with fresh water and allow the cavity to dry by standing the board on its tail overnight.
